Winter is upon us here at Gettysburg Battlefield Resorts in South Central Pennsylvania!
Hi Sycamore Campers😊,
Whoa! August you flew past us! AND we had a blast. We gathered at the pavilion and guessed Who Dun It? Who did not like a live action game of clue? Then we all enjoyed each other’s company with the celebration of our camping family. That’s what camping is all about making memories right there!!! Then we dunked some volunteer Firefighters and Fed all the Kids & Adults snow cones, as we raised money for our local fire department in Derby. Thanks, y’all for everything you do for us!! Lastly, we had some gorgeously people show up all dressed up for the Sycamore Hollywood Prom. Who won prom king and queen?? Check it out online at our Facebook Page!!
Goodbye to these hot days of summer. Whew! I thought I needed to call in a snowman y’all to help cool us down here at the Lodge. Summer is moving its way out of here and all of us are ready to dive into Fall!! That means a big Good Luck to the new school year and all the children heading back. Don’t forget teachers! We are still here to help you relax on the weekends and holidays or even for mental health days. Wink, wink.
September Labor Day 2022 will be here and gone quick. Come out and relax with fellow campers enjoying the end of summer. We are playing corn hole, pool Volleyball and crafts! First Responder weekend is loud and proud with sirens and K-9 demo. And then something so neat is happening that we cannot wait for… it’s Gamers weekend! It’s like the 80’s gamers contest but fast forwarded to 2022. We’ll see who is the best gamer, check it out!! AND LASTLY you know we all have one in the family. It’s Hillbilly Olympics!! Win in the games and earn your badge of honor!! Yeeha Y’all!
Notes from managers:
A reminder to watch your speed driving in the park. Speed limit 5 MPH. Children under the age of 16 must have a responsible adult member at the pool. Also, no children under the age of 10 in the hot tub.
We all love our pups when we go camping. Keep animals on a leash under 6 feet and clean up after them. Also aggressive animals are not allowed on the resort.

As the weather gets a little colder each night, we all snuggle one step closer to the campfire. The leaves have almost finished falling and everything looks beautiful. What a perfect season we have here in Georgia.

I see the colours everywhere as I drive around this beautiful place, we call Rocky Fork Ranch.
February has made her presence known with cold winds, snow flurries creeping in, and the trees have finally dropped all their leaves.

Goodbye to December and we are giving our thanks to all the members that were with us during the BIG thanksgiving feast.
