Northshore Landing Resort, October Newsletter
We are so excited for this month as we approach the winter season. We have a lot of goodies this month and will end with a bang for a personal favourite, HALLOWEEN!!!
Hello campers,
September was fun with celebrating with the First Responders in our area, Backyard BBQ yummies, and the Casino Poke Run. As the calendar flips and the days go by this month autumn is here officially. YAY!! We will kick off at the beginning of the month with Oktoberfest activities, then with Charity Sports Weekend the following weekend. And NOW! A drum roll please……………… Sycamore Friends it is time for the Haunted Forest!!!
A little background of the event. Every year a group of amazing TRA Sycamore Members come and put together one of the most amazing Haunted Halloween shows in the area. Are you afraid of the Haunted Forest!!! Do you have the guts to walk through the whole forest in the middle of the night? We have ghost, goblins, vampires, zombies, and more! I could go on, but I don’t want to spoil the fun! Our volunteers put a lot of work into the Haunted Forest every year. They’ll have a total of 10 haunted houses ready for this year’s Sycamore Haunted Forest. The Haunted Forest will also have a snack shack and items for sale as well, with all the proceeds going to the Lymphoma Society. So, are you ready to brave the Haunted Forest?
Now don’t you worry if the scary is not up your alley. We also have a daytime, not-so-scary, Trick or Treat Halloween Weekends during the last weekends in October, where the little ones can enjoy trick or treating for candy. Check out the Activity Schedule for more information about all the October fun.
New Stock Alert!
The store will have new items out to keep you warm in the fall air. Stop in and see
what they have out. All the employees are excited for y’all to come on out and enjoy your time at the lodge.
Note from management:
The temperatures are cooling outside, and critters are moving. Please keep an eye out for snakes and other animals and wildlife as they journey out of their homes and hopefully out of the campground.
A friendly reminder to clean after your pups. No one wants to be a pooper scooper to someone else.
Speed limit in the RV resort is 5 MPH let’s keep it to a slow roll and watch out for kiddos that may be playing in the area.

We are really excited for October here on the ranch! Our first weekend is Headless horseman weekend. We will have trick or treating, site decorating, costume contests, rides to the pumpkin patch and all the usual Halloween fun
October has arrived and our season will be coming to an end later this month. With that said we do still have a few fun weekends to go.
Fall is fast approaching, and signs of its arrival are all over the resort! There are planters of mums and hay bale decor all around the Lodge, and the Halloween Committee has been spotted in the Pavilion!
Luna Sands is gearing up for a busy winter. As we depart summer and move into fall, the weather is still hot and muggy. Don’t despair though, because the middle of October things starts to make a turn and you’ll feel like fall has finally arrived.
Its Spooky Season! We are super excited for all the events we have planned; we can’t let the cat out of the bag for all planned, but you know it’s going to be a Spooktacular time!

Bass Lake had a super nice September. The weather was perfect New York weather with some very warm fall temperatures. We were able to keep the lower pool open until September 27th. Yes the last weekend open was pretty chilly. We had some pretty large water leaks that had to be repaired, and we appreciate all the support and patience from our members during the times when we had to turn water off to the entire resort.
