Winter is upon us here at Gettysburg Battlefield Resorts in South Central Pennsylvania!
“September morn, we danced until the night became a brand-new dawn…”
This is the song that comes to mind as I realize September is here. What a season we’ve had, and we are grateful for your encouragement, participation, and making this place so enjoyable, because you are here with us! So, Simeon has some recreation teasers for you all, so you’ll know just when you want to come and join us this month. September is the month summer winds down and we exit with Labor Day celebration and end with Oktoberfest. September also we will host our final two rodeos they are Saturday, September 10th, and Finals weekend will be Saturday and Sunday, September 24th and 25th. Come enjoy and cheer on these talented boys and girls as they end their rodeo season here at the ranch. As always, we will have a food truck for you to enjoy and take a break from grilling those weekends. Trail riding in September is a time of year to enjoy some foliage changes that you can only see on horseback. We book trail rides maximum of 30 days out so make your reservations and see the ranch from a great vantage point. Our pontoon is booking up and you will love the lake this time of year inquire at the Ranch House for pricing and availability. There’s truly something for everyone here at the ranch and we hope you will find your favorite activity while you are here.
As the season winds down, we still have some fun activities planned for y’all! The first weekend in September is Labor Day Weekend. We will have our third annual car show, live music, a parade, games, and more! The second weekend in September is Grandparent’s weekend! It’s a weekend full of bingo, crafts, and fun memory-making! After that is Apple Butter Weekend, where we will make apple butter the old-fashioned way! Come learn how! And last but not least is Oktoberfest weekend, where we will celebrate the coming fall in the German Tradition with a beer swap, games, and more. Don’t miss out on the beautiful fall weather and colors down on the Ranch! We will see you soon!
We have had many folks asking about details on our Halloween weekends, so I’ll put this here and y’all spread the word. The first full weekend of October 7th-9th we will have all the festivities like costume contest, site decoration contest, golf cart decorating contest and pumpkin patch, hay wagon rides. On the second weekend we will do it all over again and add our haunted house down at the barn. So now you all know the skinny so make your plans and join us!

As the weather gets a little colder each night, we all snuggle one step closer to the campfire. The leaves have almost finished falling and everything looks beautiful. What a perfect season we have here in Georgia.

I see the colours everywhere as I drive around this beautiful place, we call Rocky Fork Ranch.
February has made her presence known with cold winds, snow flurries creeping in, and the trees have finally dropped all their leaves.

Goodbye to December and we are giving our thanks to all the members that were with us during the BIG thanksgiving feast.
