Travel Resorts of America was excited about our partnership with the 2021 Pinehurst Barbeque Festival, our first local event for our members and the community of Pinehurst. Our own Sean Harrison (Senior VP of Sales) had a triumphant Friday night with his debut on stage with the Trailer Park Romeos! Over 2,000 attendees in the Pinehurst community enjoyed a great afternoon of music and libations. The actual barbeque event on Sunday could not have been better! The Pit Master Invitational brought quite the crowd for a wonderful Sunday afternoon of good people and great food! We were excited to give away a brand new Traeger Grill to Mr. and Mrs. Fred Stevens from Seven Lakes, who had won the raffle! We foresee this being an ongoing partnership for many years to come!

Sam Eckenrode
Sam has been a team member with TRA since what seems like the very beginning! It’s hard to believe that he originally started as a seasonal employee, working for Resort Manger Richard Kellermann at Gettysburg Battlefield Resorts nearly 22 years ago!
“He was hired seasonal, and his season never ended!” – Richard Kellermann.
Sam has been at with the company through it all. He has helped with the growth of the resort in Gettysburg, building sites, improving procedures, and catering to guests. His value goes beyond words with his knowledge of the resort and experience in the industry. During his tenure, he has earned the name “Superhero Sam”. It’s a title he’s earned from his excellent ability handle any situation that may arise, while always making sure that the guests are taken care of. He is a true team player at the resort! Thanks for putting on the cape every day you come to work Sam!

October Contest Winners
We are so excited for this month as we approach the winter season. We have a lot of goodies this month and will end with a bang for a personal favourite, HALLOWEEN!!!
We are really excited for October here on the ranch! Our first weekend is Headless horseman weekend. We will have trick or treating, site decorating, costume contests, rides to the pumpkin patch and all the usual Halloween fun
October has arrived and our season will be coming to an end later this month. With that said we do still have a few fun weekends to go.
Fall is fast approaching, and signs of its arrival are all over the resort! There are planters of mums and hay bale decor all around the Lodge, and the Halloween Committee has been spotted in the Pavilion!
Luna Sands is gearing up for a busy winter. As we depart summer and move into fall, the weather is still hot and muggy. Don’t despair though, because the middle of October things starts to make a turn and you’ll feel like fall has finally arrived.
Its Spooky Season! We are super excited for all the events we have planned; we can’t let the cat out of the bag for all planned, but you know it’s going to be a Spooktacular time!
September was fun with celebrating the First Responders in our area, backyard BBQ yummies, and the casino poke run.
Bass Lake had a super nice September. The weather was perfect New York weather with some very warm fall temperatures. We were able to keep the lower pool open until September 27th. Yes the last weekend open was pretty chilly. We had some pretty large water leaks that had to be repaired, and we appreciate all the support and patience from our members during the times when we had to turn water off to the entire resort.
