Northshore Landing Resort, October Newsletter
We are so excited for this month as we approach the winter season. We have a lot of goodies this month and will end with a bang for a personal favourite, HALLOWEEN!!!
Luna Sands is gearing up for a busy winter. As we depart from summer and move into fall, the weather is still hot and muggy. Don’t despair, the middle of October is when the weather starts to make a turn, and you’ll feel like fall has finally arrived. Although the resort is still in summer hibernation, we have been seeing more and more business on the weekends. During October, we will be busy getting ready for all the winter snowbirds.
In September, we worked on campsites #26 and #27. They have been moved so they can make it easier for campers to access. The sites were modified, and the patios were adjusted to make them more spacious for everyone in that area. We still have several other sites that we are remodelling, and we will update you as they are getting completed.
Our annual Biketoberfest occurs between October 14th and 17th. Motorcycle Enthusiasts will be taking advantage of the beautiful Florida weather, enjoying scenic drives along the famous A1A, live music, motorcycle racing, custom shows, and vendor displays through the Daytona Beach area. There are also other additional venues throughout Volusia County, where we are located. Make your reservations to be at Luna Sands now for your October dates and take advantage of the quiet and peaceful camping.
Beginning November, we will be celebrating Not Your Cheese Weekend on the 6th, Deland Mural Walk on November 13th, and Thanksgiving on Saturday the 20th. Thanksgiving Saturday will be a prepared dinner by the LSR staff. Unfortunately, unlike past year, we will not be doing a potluck. Make sure you sign up for this Thanksgiving Saturday, as it will help our staff with its preparation. Finally, be sure to bring your Christmas stuff with you for the last weekend of November, as we celebrate Light the Tree on November 27th. Most activities will take place on Thursday, Friday, and Saturdays for all of November. Be sure to look at campersAPP for up-to-date activities.

We are really excited for October here on the ranch! Our first weekend is Headless horseman weekend. We will have trick or treating, site decorating, costume contests, rides to the pumpkin patch and all the usual Halloween fun
October has arrived and our season will be coming to an end later this month. With that said we do still have a few fun weekends to go.
Fall is fast approaching, and signs of its arrival are all over the resort! There are planters of mums and hay bale decor all around the Lodge, and the Halloween Committee has been spotted in the Pavilion!

Its Spooky Season! We are super excited for all the events we have planned; we can’t let the cat out of the bag for all planned, but you know it’s going to be a Spooktacular time!
September was fun with celebrating the First Responders in our area, backyard BBQ yummies, and the casino poke run.
Bass Lake had a super nice September. The weather was perfect New York weather with some very warm fall temperatures. We were able to keep the lower pool open until September 27th. Yes the last weekend open was pretty chilly. We had some pretty large water leaks that had to be repaired, and we appreciate all the support and patience from our members during the times when we had to turn water off to the entire resort.
