Located southeast of the Twin Cities with easy access to adventure at the Niagara & Mystery Caves & Amish Communities. We are just 30 minutes from the Root River area for ATV, Kayaking & Tubing! We are just minutes from local communities like Forestville, Lanesboro, Harmony, & Spring Grove.
While there is so much to do around us, we also offer a variety of activities at the resort as well! Spend some time splashing in the pool, beat your kids at a game of mini golf, hike our beautiful trails, or spend the afternoon challenging your neighbors to a game of horseshoes.

Events at Hidden Bluffs Resort
Growing up, Little House on the Prairie was a staple in our home. From the books to the tv show we were able to imagine what it was like for the first settlers. Fans visiting the last of Laura’s homes on Rocky Ridge Farm in Mansfield, Missouri will discover the chapters of Laura’s life which contain events that honed her writing skills and ultimately inspired her cherished Little House books.
Ready for an adventure? Go explore the Niagara Caves. On the 1 hour tour you will experience a mile long hike underground, discover fossils that are over 450 million years old, descend 275 stairs, view the underground stream and waterfall and visit a subterranean wedding chapel. Don’t miss out on this one!
Can you think of anything better on a warm day thank floating down the beautiful Mississippi River with the wind in your hair and the sun on your face? I can’t! While you’re with us at Hidden Bluffs check out the local boat tours. They have everything from yachts to riverboats and all will give you a different experience!
The Orient Theatre was opened in 1918. In December 1935 it was renamed New Jem Theatre. It was badly damaged by a fire on April 25, 1940. A new Jem Theatre was built next door and opened in September 1940. After repairs were made to the New Jem Theatre, it was converted into retail use.
