“All the months are cruel experiments, out of which the perfect September is made.”
—Virginia Woolf

Ahh, September… that delicious combination of the warm days of summer and the perfect-for-a campfire nights. September is mums, and pumpkin spice, and crisp new school clothes. It is a time of harvest and a time of gathering. Most of all, it is the perfect time for camping!

During the week, there is no longer the frenzy of children running to the playground, splashing in the pool or clamoring for ice cream. Midweek, our adult members rule! There are adult crafts and clubs, and adult knitting and crocheting circles. Couples sit in rocking chairs, sharing the sunset and an ice cream cone. With the exception of Labor Day, September themes have a grown-up feel, like our Wine and Cheese Festival September 16th – 18th, which will also include our Member Build, a project near and dear to my heart, and to all our dog lovers as well. We will also be honoring our First Responders September 9th – 11th, and recognizing our member super heroes who have battled or are currently battling cancer September 23rd – 25th. Labor Day Weekend is our Touch A truck and Jeep Jam! Some big trucks will be here for kids of all ages to see, and we are inviting members to show off their Jeeps in our front field. There may even be some night time ducking! Now, weekends are still family affairs with plenty of activities for adults and kids alike! Families will have plenty to do including Music Bingo, some great games over Labor Day weekend, and the Great GBR Grape Stomp!

In addition to our scheduled activities on the resort, the new concierge service has been well received by members and staff alike. We have made dinner reservations for families and couples celebrating a special occasion, booked carriage rides, facilitated online tickets for bus and ghost tours, which includes sending several folks on a tour of Lancaster and families to the many of the museums in town. Come see us in the sunroom, Thursdays through Saturdays. If you need recommendations for dinner, or something to do with the kids, or want to sign-up for a ghost tour or would like us to help celebrate a special occasion, please let us know! If you need help with CampersApp, we are here to help!
