Like the March winds, the campground is also waking up and stretching its arms, eager to embrace the new camping season! Early Spring flowers poke their heads through a brown quilt of soil testing the temperature, turning their heads to kiss the sun. A flock of real snowbirds flew over the pond yesterday, waving their wings and honking a joyous hello. A very pregnant doe ventured out behind the bathhouse to nibble on some tender shoots of early grass.  It’s not just the flora and fauna readying for Spring; our staff too, is busy bringing all that winter planning to fruition. The highly anticipated tent sites, with their shade, electric and a water station, are ready for those members who enjoy traditional camping.  The newly painted interior of the Eisenhower cabin has made the building come to life, with a new purpose: housing our Rec team a Concierge office and providing an indoor space for crafts. There is even a kitchen, so we can offer cooking classes! Be on the lookout for an even surer sign Spring is on its way – the arrival of new seasonal staff and the return of our rental golf cart fleet!

Our themed weekends begin with Easter and continue every weekend beginning in May. In addition, our monthly craft and yard sale, held on the 4th Saturday of every month will be resuming in April! The store has also gotten a fresh coat of paint and will be filled with brand new and exciting inventory! We also are currently reviewing applications for our new extended stay program. If you are interested in staying with us from April 1st to November 1st, please contact the store as soon as possible, as sites for the extended program are limited. We can’t wait for the 2024 GBR Camping Season to begin!
