Well, hello February – the month for lovers and the divider between Winter and Spring. In February we are reminded to tell those we love how much they mean to us, and this extends to family and friends alike.

One might argue that our members are both friends and family, and so we want to remind you all how much we love you all. We love your enthusiasm for camping and the outdoors, we love your spirit of adventure, we love the smell of your campfires and the sound of your children playing on the playground. We love the sounds of splashing water from the pool and robust if not so always in-tune karaoke singers.

We love how members support one another, whether it’s loaning a hose, helping a “newbie” back in, or inviting your neighbor to sit at your campfire. We love your feedback, the good and the bad, so we can improve your experience here. We love being a part of your GBR family. Happy Valentine’s Day to all of you from all of us.

As the quote above suggests, February is for doers, and that perfectly describes February at GBR. February is a frenzy of completing improvements that were started in December or January. We cannot wait to show you the new Sunroom which will be a much-needed beautiful indoor space for families to spend time together. Several of the cabins are getting some needed TLC as well!

In Activities, contracts are being completed for a season’s worth of wonderful entertainment, food trucks have been scheduled and new activities on the resort will debut this year. Cornhole tournaments will be held every weekend, weather permitting. Our first official weekend of Activities is Easter weekend, and we cannot wait to see what the Easter Bunny is bringing for you all! We heard something about an adults-only easter egg hunt? Then look for a special opportunity to honor loved ones during our Earth Day Weekend. And then there is the 2nd Annual GBR Amazing Race!

2023 is going to be EPIC!
