Hello September!

The summers always go by too fast. Here it is almost Fall. The kids are going back to school, the leaves are beginning to turn, and the nights are getting cooler. We had so much fun in August though. Starting out with Carnival weekend, we had a great turnout, food, games, a bounce house, and even some clowns showed up. Next was Rock N Roll weekend with our new pal “Rowdy” making his first appearance. What a hit, everyone loved him. We all tie-dyed our new Rowdy T-shirts. We had Chocolate Weekend with all kinds of sweet treats all weekend long. And then we ended August with Sports Weekend, full of all kinds of outdoor fun and our annual casino trip. We filled the bus this year and had a lot of fun & laughs. Thank you to all who joined us.

Make sure you check out Campers App for the most up-to-date activities and information. We will be changing our hours as things start to slow down a little during the week in September. The upper pool will shut down right after Labor Day. The lower pool will remain open from 10 am-6 pm until mid-September depending on the weather. The store will be open Sunday-Thursday from 9 am-5 pm and 9 am -8 pm on Friday & Saturday. The café will only be open on Friday & Saturday from 4 pm-8 pm until Columbus weekend. The greeting station will remain open 24 hours through Columbus Day. We plan to turn the water off to the campsites on October 16th.

Coming up in September we have Labor Day Weekend, what a packed full schedule we have for that. Then we are going to do some baking contests with all things apple for Apple Fest September 8th-10th September 15th -17th is going to be an international potluck weekend where you all bring your favorite dish to share and enjoy mingling with all the other campers. I am getting full just thinking about it. Then we are off to Safari Weekend September 22nd-24th, with all kinds of animals. Also, a reminder we are going back to one Halloween weekend this year, it will be Columbus weekend October 7th-9th. That is the last weekend of the season, and we will have the Adult Costume Party on Friday night, pumpkin painting, costume contests, trick or treating, and our spooky hayride at night all on Saturday. We noticed that the majority of people were coming in for both weekends and we were putting on the same show for the same folks two weeks in a row, so we decided to change the first weekend up a little, it will still be fun but will be a different theme. We will be ending September with our very first Fall Festival Weekend Sept. 29th-Oct. 1. We will start Friday night off with a masquerade ball at the upper clubhouse. Wear a mask of your own or we will have one there for you if you would like to join in on the fun with us. We have a vendor and craft show planned for Saturday, September 30th and a photo op, corn maze, fall games, hot chocolate bar and so much more. If you would like a spot to sell your crafts or goodies, please let us know, you can call the office at (315) 728-9437 and leave a message for Renee or you are welcome to set up on your site as well. We are all excited for a wonderful fall season here at Bass Lake, we hope you all will join us!
