Yay it’s finally May!
We have all been waiting patiently for spring to arrive and it is finally here. I am so excited for a great 2022 season! The water is on, and everything is opening this week. The store will open for the season on Thursday, May 5th. The Café will be open Friday, May 6th, with their famous Fish Fry from 4pm-8pm and Saturday, May 7th, 4pm-8pm come listen to DJ Dion on the Patio, as always happy hour is from 4pm-6pm. The café will be open on weekends until Memorial weekend and then the hours will be extended. Make sure to watch Campers App for all updated hours.
Please join me in welcoming Erica Edmonds to the Bass Lake Resort Team. She was hired by Travel Resorts in November and has been traveling up the east coast from Florida to Ohio all winter, spending a couple weeks at each of our Resorts. Erica will be the new assistant manager here at Bass Lake. She has been here for about a month and has already helped us accomplish so much, she brings positive energy, fresh eyes, and so much creativity. We are so happy to have her here with us, please stop in and say hello!
April was a busy month getting the Resort ready to open and the campsites cleaned up. Quite a few campers were out enjoying the Resort even before the water was tuned on. We brought everything back out that was stored for the winter, put the docks back in the water. Our third cabin remodel is just about complete, what a difference repairing the hard wood floors has made. We did some painting, added new décor, and created charging stations in the clubhouses. The bulletin boards have all been redone with updated information. We changed the stone at the lower clubhouse, planted some grass seed, and did some road work. The parts came in that we were waiting for, so hope to finish the sewer project soon!
Phyllis is back in activities and ready to go! This weekend May 6th-8th is Mother’s Day weekend with our annual pancake breakfast, then May 13th-15th will be a Mexican Fiesta. Who wants to head back to the 50’s with Spring Break Throw Back on May 20th-22nd and then we will end May off right with our Memorial Weekend Celebration. We are going to have so much fun. I see the colours everywhere as I drive around this beautiful place, we call Rocky Fork Ranch.
I just want to say thank you all for a great season! I am very excited to take on this new role as your Resort Manager.
Goodbye to December and we are giving our thanks to all the members that were with us during the BIG thanksgiving feast.

As the weather gets a little colder each night, we all snuggle one step closer to the campfire. The leaves have almost finished falling and everything looks beautiful. What a perfect season we have here in Georgia.
