Bass Lake Resort
August Newsletter, 2023

Hello Everyone!

July was so busy, it just flew right by and now here it is August already. We had a wonderful July. The weather was beautiful. 4th of July weekend was packed full of fun for all. Then we had Water Wars to Super Hero’s to Christmas in July with visits from Santa.  Special thank you to our hero’s from the Parish Volunteer Fire Department for coming out for the kids. They were able to see the trucks and equipment, try on a fire suit and even spray the water hose.  We topped July off with our Beach Weekend and Annual Member Build. This year we built a structure with swings around the community firepit by the pavilion behind the upper pool. We also fixed up the little playground in that area with fresh paint, wood chips, new swings and a new canopy. Big thank you to all that came out and joined us. Everyone had a great time and worked right through the rain to get the job done. We have the most amazing members and a great team. I can’t thank you all enough.

We had a team meeting on July 13th and had to say good-bye to our Assistant Manager Erica Edmonds. She was promoted to Manager of our Florida park, Thousand Palms, in January so she went back to Florida. We wish her all the best on her new adventure, and I know she will do great things wherever she goes. I am thankful that we had her here while we did. She brought so much to Bass Lake and will be greatly missed.

In August, we have so much fun planned starting with Carnival Weekend coming up first with a bounce house, sno-cones, face painting, carnival games and more. Then August 11th-13th is Rock & Roll Weekend with Dunes & The Del Tunes entertaining us on Saturday night and Saturday during the day we will all be introduced to a very special guest, can’t wait for that! August 18th-20th join us for chocolate weekend, yum yum. We will end August with Sports weekend, wear your favorite jersey and come out and hang with us, we will be playing and learning about all kinds of sports.

We all do our best to make Bass Lake a safe and enjoyable place for all. If you have any suggestions for us, please shoot us an email, we would love to hear from you. We hope you are all having a great summer and look forward to seeing you out enjoying the resort soon.

Your Resort Manager,
Heather Powis
