Hi, Campers!
It appears that I may have spoken too soon last newsletter as to how, ‘Mother Nature’ was really cooperating with us at the Resort, as for the last couple of weeks we have been battling snow and then cold and then more snow. While it feels as if we spent most of our time shoveling, we were able to squeeze in a small improvement as we recently completed a different lay-out in the ‘Ice Cream Parlor’ to be more user friendly and added some more shelving in the General Store along with some touch-ups of trims.
Time to get ready for the next snowfall.
Until next time, stay warm, stay safe and we are ready for camping season.

Here in Gettysburg, Winter is center stage, making its presence known with the second nor’easter in 10 days! Outside, the snow decorates each tree, making them sparkle in the sunshine, and the Lodge, showcasing a coat of white fluff, is runway ready for winter photo-shoots. Inside the Lodge, the fireplace, not to be outdone, glows with a warm and welcoming flame. The store, perfumed with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee, is a welcoming warm place for both members and staff. Yet, even now there are subtle signs of Spring, who is waiting just backstage for her cue. Days are getting longer, and around the resort, every department is busy preparing for the return of our members. Activities is no exception. Now that our yearly calendar has been posted, it is time to plan specific crafts, games and other activities for each weekend. Easter is coming quickly and we have definitely invited one of our favorite guests – the Easter Bunny – to make an appearance! We also will be recognizing Earth Day with a brand new and ongoing Junior Member Project which will not only add beauty to the resort but will also provide a habitat for butterflies and other pollinators. Also look for a “character” by the basketball court to encourage kids to recycle plastic bottles and other recyclables! We cannot wait for the fun to begin!!
