Wally World Riverside Resort
February Newsletter, 2023

Hello Wally World campers,

I hope winter is kind to everyone.  The weather has not been terrible here, just off and on snow and cold.  We sure are looking forward to spring.

I wanted to share some changes coming for this upcoming season. The sales offices that were at the entrance to the resort have been removed. The doublewide that has been our rental unit will become the sales office and the Show Cabin will become our rental unit. The rental will sleep four, 1 bedroom and a sofa that lets out to a bed. This is a beautiful cabin that’s sits on the river and has a large deck. It is furnished with dishes for four, pots and pans, toaster, coffee maker, dish washer, linens, grill and fire pit.

Firewood: Due to the concern of transporting insects that kill trees, we will not allow outside firewood to be brought in. ODNR hung 2 traps in trees on the resort to monitor if the Spotted Lanternfly has made it to this area yet.  This pest is killing Apple, oak, pine, poplar and walnut trees. We certainly do not want to lose any more trees to pests.

No show policy: If a reservation is made and the person does not show up. There will be a $100.00 fine billed to the account of that person. Please, if you cannot make it call so that someone else can reserve that spot.

No onsite storage allowed: This means if you make a 14 or 21 day reservation, you must occupy your camper for that 14 or 21 days. No storing on the site during the week just to come in on the weekends.

The bridge on Wally Rd. is not expected to be finished until late September. We will have a full summer of using the detours.

We are looking forward to a great summer. You can view the Event Calendar on Facebook. Entertainment for the season is close to being complete. Lots of fun stuff.

Until next time, stay warm and safe.
