Bass Lake Resort, January Newsletter, 2023
Winter is upon us here at Gettysburg Battlefield Resorts in South Central Pennsylvania!
Happy New Year!!
We want to thank you all for a wonderful 2022, we could not do it without you! We are looking forward to an even better 2023! So many things in the plan and we can’t wait to make more memories with all of you. Our weekend themes are just about complete and will be posted soon and we have some great new bands lined up this year! If you have any ideas, please reach out and let us know. Spring will be here before we know it.
We do have a couple changes to announce. Some of you may know that our long- time maintenance supervisor Carl Dayger has decided to retire. Carl has been with us since 2003 and has been the glue holding us all together. We want to thank him for everything he has done for Bass Lake through the years and all the knowledge he has shared. We are really going to miss him but wish him the very best as he starts this next chapter in his life.
We are happy to announce that Daniel Hamilton will be stepping up to the maintenance supervisor position. Dan has also been with us a very long time, he started in maintenance in 2000 at the age of 16 and has been a dedicated employee ever since. He is loved by the staff and members and knows a lot about Bass Lake and what makes it run. Please join us in congratulating Dan on this well-deserved promotion!
The guys have been working hard just keeping the roads open and everything shoveled and salted but in between have been working on cabin renovations. New carpeting in #107A and fresh paint in the park models. The three cedar lodge cabins have been booked with members out enjoying this quiet time at the lake.
Whatever you are doing to keep busy this winter we hope you have a wonderful time, talk to you soon.
Your Resort Manager,
Heather Powis

I see the colours everywhere as I drive around this beautiful place, we call Rocky Fork Ranch.
Goodbye to December and we are giving our thanks to all the members that were with us during the BIG thanksgiving feast.
