Winter is upon us here at Gettysburg Battlefield Resorts in South Central Pennsylvania!
Hey y’all,
Autumn has arrived here at the ranch, and we are looking forward to those crisp mornings and cool evenings. We anticipate the beautiful autumn foliage and hope you will find time to come enjoy the vast array of colors. We are trying to figure out where the summer season went. Autumn reminds us all how time flies when you’re having fun!
We have lots of recreation for October for your enjoyment! Our first two weekends of October are full of spooky ghosts, creative costume, pumpkin patch, site decorating kind of fun! This is the time of year so many of our members look forward to along with us.
I do have some news to report, our recreation director Simeon has moved on to another career opportunity and he will be missed. We wish him the best and thank him for all the fun activities he helped bring to the ranch. Stay tuned we will let you know who your new recreation director is soon.

From the Recreation Department:
We have a lot of fun and spooky activities planned for the month of October. We kick it off on the first full weekend of October with our first Halloween weekend-themed headless horseman weekend. This weekend will be packed with all the Halloween activities including site decorating, golf cart decorating, costume contests, and trick or treating, and we will end the night off with our annual Halloween Dance Party. The weekend after that we will have our second Halloween Weekend, Haunted Maze. This weekend will have all the same activities as the first one, but we will add in the Annual Haunted House that we put together. The third weekend in October will be our Chili Cookoff. Bring your favorite pot and your family’s secret recipe and enter it to see if you will be the next RFR Chili Master! The last weekend will be Murder Mystery Weekend. Come with your acting skills and try to solve who the murderer is. This was a big hit last year. You won’t want to miss it. I’ll leave you with a few pictures from years past of autumn beauty and creative carvings! We look forward to seeing y’all in October!

As the weather gets a little colder each night, we all snuggle one step closer to the campfire. The leaves have almost finished falling and everything looks beautiful. What a perfect season we have here in Georgia.
I see the colours everywhere as I drive around this beautiful place, we call Rocky Fork Ranch.

Goodbye to December and we are giving our thanks to all the members that were with us during the BIG thanksgiving feast.
