Events at Ham Lake Resort
The standout activity near Ham Lake is hands down The Mall of America. With restaurants like Bon Chon, Wahlburgers, a Rainforest Café, Rocky Mountain chocolates and Cowboy Jacks, you can’t possibly run out of choices of things to eat. Of course, there is shopping as well but the real highlights are the Crayola Experience, Sea Life Aquarium, Nickelodeon Universe, and Fly over America. Spend a few hours or spend the whole day but we promise it will be an experience to remember.
If you’re looking for something to do for free, take a walk around the Minneapolis Structure Garden. Since opening in 1988, the Garden has welcomed millions of visitors, showcasing works from the Walker Art Center’s renowned collections of modern and contemporary art in the setting of an urban park. With over 50 unique structures this is a great place for those Instagram selfies!
Next on the list is Como Park Zoo and Conservatory. Come visit with a lemur or an artic fox. Watch the penguins waddle, the sloth move slow and the snow leopard stalk its prey. For the little ones right next door is Como Town, an amusement park specifically for the little kids. There are tons of rides, places to eat, water wars and more. Don’t miss out on this one!
