Wally World Riverside Resort, May 2022

Hello Wally World campers!

April showers bring May flowers. I sure hope so!

The sewer project is moving along, and I know they hope to be finished up soon. There will be some campsites that will be unusable for a while yet. We still need some drying time, finish some work, and for the grass to grow.  We will keep you in the loop. We do ask that you please stay off the dirt areas with vehicles of all kinds.

Information on the bridge by New Horizon campground (Smith’s). The bridge has a traffic light and one lane, 10,000 lb. limit.  The bridge will be close September 18th and destruction will begin. It is being replaced with a covered bridge. They hope to have it open by Memorial Day 2023.  The county will be paving rt 211 and taking the no RV sign down. There will be a map with detours marked available later in the season. For more information you can go to Wally Road Scenic Byway Facebook page. This project has been in the works for 7 years, and even though it will cause some extra travel time with detours, it will be beautiful!

Safe travels, and we hope to see you soon.

As the weather gets a little colder each night, we all snuggle one step closer to the campfire. The leaves have almost finished falling and everything looks beautiful. What a perfect season we have here in Georgia.
